Crematorium Funerals can be a celebration of life and also embrace a more diverse  range of spiritual or secular ceremonies. They are often limited in time and my job is to see that all the elements you need are included on the day to ensure a smooth and  professional service. I will write the tribute and help with the choice of music, poetry and prose. You will have the opportunity to check the full tribute to be sure you are happy with it before the day.

Burials and internments can take place on private land, provided you have permission from the owner and there are no covenants preventing burials. These can be very personal ceremonies for family and close friends. You can also have the funeral service at an alternative venue, a private home, pub or hotel with the coffin going separately to the burial site or crematorium. I can perform both ceremonies please contact me to discuss pricing in that instance.

If someone has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness or they are coming to the end of their life, this can be a beautiful way to celebrate with family and friends. The difference is the person is present and able to share in the celebration of their life.

If you are preparing for and wish to write your own funeral I can also assist with that. Making sure it is lodged with the right people and your wishes and story are followed as you would want it to be.

As an animal owner I am aware how devastating it can be losing a loved pet. I also volunteer in pet bereavement support for the Blue Cross.  Please contact me to discuss how you would like to give your special pet a fitting send off.

Woodland or Natural Burial sites are gaining in popularity as they offer green alternatives .They are set in beautiful locations which can be visited and allow time for peaceful reflection. The ceremony can embrace a diverse range of beliefs and provide the opportunity to be truly creative. Ashes can also be interred at a green burial site.

A memorial usually takes place a few weeks after the funeral. They can be more of a celebration of life and allow a more comprehensive sharing from family and friends to honour the life lived. The funeral may have been more private or couldn't be attended on the day and the memorial service allows everyone to remember the person with love and reverence. This is a more informal ceremony and an opportunity to say a final goodbye particularly if the funeral couldn't be attended. I will write the script and help with the choices of music and poetry or prose.
