My background is in theatre and education.  It is very important to me to be

articulate, empathic and sensitive in capturing the essence of the person while

tailoring the ceremony to the family's wishes.

I meet with the family to discuss your needs and wishes fully. It is a collaborative

process and I will tell the story of your loved one as they, and you, would wish it to be told. Everyone's story is different and no two ceremonies should be the same. I use my creative skills to write and conduct a service that reflects the life and values of the individual.

I believe the role of a civil celebrant is to create a ceremony that reflects the beliefs of the person who has died and of the people holding the ceremony, whether that is religious, spiritual or secular.  Inclusivity, diversity and equity are at the core of my work.

My role is to help ease the stress at a particularly difficult time for family and friends. Increasingly people are turning to celebrants to hold a celebration of life ceremony to truly honour and acknowledge the life lived and to say goodbye in the way that suits each individual the best.

You will receive a full copy of the tribute to check beforehand and I provide a presentation copy of the ceremony for you to keep afterwards.

I hold the National Qualification NOCN Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Funeral Celebrancy (RQF),

which is the highest level of Qualification in the UK. (I also hold the Level 3 taken previously.)

As a Level 4 national qualification, this course is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s

degree and is considered as advanced learning. As a newly developed course through Civil Ceremonies, I am one of a small handful of celebrants to carry this qualification.

I am a member of the Association of Civil Celebrants which covers me for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.

I also have an enhanced DBS Certificate.
